Very pleased now that they're up, but clamping instructions were lacking. Instructions don't mention that the clamping is a 2-step process - 1st push the clamp against the housing, THEN use a flat-blade screwdriver to push the clamp up to lock it. 2nd part wasn't mentioned, and they kept popping open until I figured that out.

The brackets on these housings do not hold the can securely to the ceiling. The trims barely cover the can and hang down creating a gap. I really appreciate that this is an IC housing which you cannot find in other brands for a 4 inch recessed light. However, the final product is not very good and is very frustrating to work with. I really wish Progress Lighting would make a 4 inch IC rated housing. Their finished product is excellent.

It's been hard to find an IC rated remodel fixture- glad to find this one! The mounting clips were tricky at first but got the hang of it by the third one I installed. You need to order the right trim for the IC rating. Couldn't be happier & great price!!

These lights are great!!! i've been looking for some 4"ic rated remodel cans everywhere couldn't find them anywhere but here,and at a good price.they're easy to install just push the clips up with your thumbs and then get a flathead srewdriver and push up to lock them in.they fit snug to the ceiling.i recommend you get lithonia trim they fit best.
